I’m not sure if you have seen this or not, but I think it’s worth sharing. Apparently, a cafe owner in Washington asked a mother and her two children to leave her establishment because of the mess they were making.
She then decided to post the picture on her company’s FB page with a message stating: “Like to take a moment right now to thank our customers with small children whose kids don’t make a mess. A couple of ladies came in today and this is the mess their children made.”
The picture isn’t the best quality, but that mess looks tame compared to some of the messes my daughter makes. It’s not because she’s misbehaving or that I’m a bad mother, she’s just not very coordinated yet. Anyway, I’m less concerned with what happened and appalled by the responses. There are over 2,000 comments on the company’s FB page and hundreds more on the news story. If you have a chance, check out the comment string on the company’s Facebook page.
Here is what a lot of the comments look like:
My daughter is almost six and my son is two and a half, so my days are extremely dull (insert sarcasm here).
I'm almost two years into my entrepreneurship journey and this community is my "passion project" -- I have a soft spot for mompreneurs and would love to support you in any way I can.
ps. I'm always looking for guest bloggers.
