Knocked Up Mommy :: Gender Prediction

I don’t know what it is about this pregnancy, but I’ve been so pressed to know the sex of our baby.  I was so desperate to know that I bought a gender prediction test called IntelliGender.  According to the instructions, you can use the test as early as 10 weeks.  10 weeks!  That’s so crazy.  Obviously, I took the test at 10 weeks exactly.  I have no shame admitting that I’m the most impatient person I know.

I wasn’t able to find much regarding the science behind the test, but I found a lot of online reviews.  The reviews were the opposite of helpful.  A lot of people said that it was a complete waste of time while others swore it worked for them and their friends.  It was on sale at Babies “R” Us, so I thought, “what the heck”.

I also read online that people who got a “girl” result seemed to have a higher rate of accuracy.  Either way, I wasn’t going to decorate the nursery based upon an at-home test.  It is worth noting that I got a boy result, which was confirmed by our anatomy scan 10 weeks later.  Cool party trick, IntelliGender.  😉
